Dear Parents and Community Members,
THE SNOW
February began under a beautiful blanket of snow and ended with gentle, sparkling rain!
A major snowstorm transformed the city of Raleigh and its neighborhoods into a magical winter wonderland. Children and adults alike had so much fun exploring nature, playing in the snow…
And solving a few playful riddles: spotting pedestrians under umbrellas or finding the neighbor with a shovel!
THE CHANDELEUR
At L'ÉCOLE, we celebrated Candlemas with joy and crêpes. The children read recipes, solved fun math challenges, and shared stories about traditions.
THE MEASUREMENT UNIT
In first grade, we explored measuring objects with rulers and centimeters. Hands-on activities made learning fun and exciting!
VALENTINE'S DAY
February is also the month of friendship and kindness. For Valentine’s Day, we created the “Tree of Love,” with each child adding a kind word or message. Such a heartwarming sight!
FEBRUARY CAMP
February camp was a highlight too, full of creative and cooperative activities that encouraged teamwork, independence, and unforgettable memories.
LITERATURE
In literature, we dived into the classic tale Les Trois Petits Cochons (The Three Little Pigs), and it was wonderful to see the children retell the story with so much enthusiasm.
We also celebrated a very special day: Ms. Milaure’s birthday, filled with smiles, laughter, and joy.
Thank you, dear parents and community members for your support and trust.
We look forward to all the new adventures next month will bring!
With warmest wishes.
L'ÉCOLE Team!
