Dear Parents,
October was a month full of excitement and discovery for our students!
🎭 A Magical Trip to the Theater. The children had the wonderful opportunity to see Cinderella on stage at the North Carolina Opera after studying the fairy tale in class. It was a magical experience that helped them appreciate the art of theater, talk about the beautiful sets, and reflect on the story’s themes of kindness and perseverance.
Thank you to Opera for the rehearsal attendance by our 3rd and 4th grade students.
🥕 Harvest Time in Our School Garden. Our little gardeners were so proud to finally harvest the vegetables they planted earlier this year! It was a perfect moment to talk about the changing seasons, caring for nature, and the joy of enjoying the fruits of one’s own work. Well done to everyone for their effort and teamwork!
Thank you to the PTA team for planting Ms Rose (a parent for explaining).
🎃 A Visit to the Pumpkin Farm. Our trip to the pumpkin farm was another highlight of the month. The children picked their own pumpkins and learned all about life in the countryside. There were smiles all around, and everyone came home with a bright and happy autumn memory.
Where the Mountains Meets the Moon" Project.
The CE2/CM1 (3rd/4th grade) class had a fun day in English class presenting their projects inspired by their reading of the novel "Where the Mountain Meets the Moon" by Grace Lin. There were several detailed dioramas as well as a thrilling story written from another character's perspective and a hand-drawn map of the main character's journey!
👻 Halloween Fun at SchoolWe wrapped up the month with a fantastic Halloween celebration! Spooky costumes, creative decorations, fun games, and a shared snack made the day truly special. A huge thank-you to all the families for your creativity and participation — the school has never looked so full of little witches, ghosts, and pumpkin princesses!
Thank you to the PTA team for their appreciated help by decorating the entire school and support.
A big thank-you to our entire school community — teachers, parents, and children — for your enthusiasm, energy, and support.
We’re already looking forward to more adventures together as the seasons go by.
With warm regards,
